Harris Search Associates has recruited Annemieke Martinez as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Howard University.
The Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a newly created position, reports to the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. The Deputy CFO will be expected to help the University to achieve and maintain financial stability, advance the University's mission and its academic priorities, and enable the University to conduct itself as a prudent steward for the resources entrusted to it by students and their families, donors, grantors, and other resource-providers for the benefit of the University's student body, faculty, staff, alumni and general community.
The Deputy CFO will serve as the representative of the Chief Financial Officer and will provide University-wide leadership and direction to University staff and to internal and external constituencies with respect to matters of financial administration and overall University policy.

Founded as a University for the education of youth in the liberal arts and sciences, Howard is Carnegie classified as a high research activity.
