The Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy, Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida (USF) has selected Harris Search Associates to lead the search for its next Director. The Director will work to advance the mission and strategic priorities of the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy and the Muma College of Business. He/she is expected to work closely with the business community, advance student success initiatives, advance the research of faculty members, increase the size of the programs, raise resources that can further the mission and strategic priorities, and be able to teach at the master’s, undergraduate, and/or doctoral level.

USF seeks an energetic and dynamic individual to ensure a relevant, rigorous, and meaningful 21st Century educational experience for students within the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy. The ideal candidate will bring skill sets and experience to work closely with the business community, forging cooperative partnerships with alumni and professional constituencies; advance student success initiatives and facilitate the professional development and placement of accounting graduates; promote excellence in teaching and advance the capabilities and scope of faculty research; increase the size of the programs; actively pursue fundraising and raise resources that can further the mission and strategic priorities; and proven capability to teach at the master's, undergraduate, and/or doctoral level.
This is a visible key-to-the-mission leadership role with broad autonomy and strong support in a truly strategic function where pivotal decisions made well will impact a fine institution prepared to recognize and reward success. Required qualifications include a PhD in Accountancy, or in Business with an Accountancy concentration from an AACSB accredited program; and/or a Master’s degree from an AACSB accredited program along with extensive corporate level experience in Accountancy; and administrative or leadership experience; and proven ability to engage with the accounting profession and the business community. Preferred Qualifications include: a proven research record that would meet tenure and promotion requirements for full professor status; a proven ability to fundraise; evidence of outstanding teaching and experience teaching graduate level courses; evidence of the ability to produce ongoing research commensurate with experience; evidence of service in faculty governance and/or people development, student success initiatives, and community engagement; experience with the AACSB accreditation process for a separately accredited accounting program.
