Harris Search Associates has recruited Mark Herron as the next The Information Security Officer (ISO)/Chief Information Security Officer at the University at Buffalo. The Information Security Officer (ISO) is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of the University’s campus-wide information security/cybersecurity program.
The Office of the Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) oversees the central IT organization comprised of over 200 talented professionals working collaboratively with the distributed school/unit based IT staff to provide and support campus use of information technology critical to student, faculty, and staff success.
Mr. Herron currently serves as Chief Information Security Officer at Central Michigan University. Prior to Central Michigan University, Mr. Herron held a series of increasing leadership roles at Case Western Reserve University, Akron Children's Hospital, and the Cleveland Clinic.
Mr. Herrin holds an MA in Biology from John Caroll University.
